IBEW Local 280 (Salem OR) Solicits Gifts and Funds for Needy Kids

Unions set out Christmas boxes

TANGENT — Electrical and contracting unions are setting up dollection boxes for toys, food and clothing for people in need this holiday season.

The campaign, “POWER to the Children,” is taking place in Linn, Lane, Benton, Marion and Deschutes counties

Locally, boxes were being set up this week at:

• Central Electrical Training Center, 33309 Highway 99E, Tangent

• IBEW 280, 32969 Highway 99E, Tangent

• Albany PLATT, 191 34th Ave. S.W., Albany

• Corvallis PLATT, 133 S.W. Hopkins Ave., Corvallis.

The National Electrical Contractors Association also will have a donation box at its Eugene office.

Donations of food (canned and dry) and new, unwrapped clothing and toys will be accepted and donated to the Association of Foster Parents, for foster children in our area.

Checks and money orders should be made out to the Oregon Foster Parents Association and can be mailed to POWER to the Children, c/o IBEW LU 280, P.O. Box 404, Tangent, OR 97389.
