"EXPLORING THE notion of heroism from another angle, WCSX-FM (94.7) is searching for working class heroes” ordinary people who've done extraordinary things for their families or communities.
Every Friday, the station says, it will salute one working class hero, and Nov. 19, it will round up all the weekly honorees for a banquet at Andiamo Italia in Warren. Nominations can be sent to heroes@wcsx.com
The program is sponsored by IBEW Local 58 and the Metro Detroit Mercedes Dealers. You wouldn't immediately associate Mercedes with working stiffs, but somebody has to build 'em and keep 'em running, right? "
