Members of local 51 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers have overwhelmingly rejected a contract proposal from AmerenCILCO.

IBEW Local 51 represents some 330 AmerenCILCO employees.

The business manager for the union said, ''all is not lost'', and that the union and company would meet next Wednesday in an effort to iron out their differences.

Asked if any 'job actions' are planned, the Union official said ''That depends on what happens Wednesday.''

IBEW Local 51's contract with AmerenCILCO expired July 1st.
