Jailhouse Rock Oct. 9
Went to a party at the county jail . . . Fictional 1950's fugitive Brenda Lou Cleever will face Judge U. Diddit at her trial on Oct. 9 at the "Jailhouse Rock" fundraising party at 6 p.m. to benefit the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts and Historic Globe Main Street Program.

The emphasis is on fun. Guests attend a courtroom drama presented by the Copper Cities Community Players in the historic courtroom of the former courthouse, now CVCA.

Tickets are on sale now at CVCA. This is an event for adults by reservation only and tickets are $25 per person and $20 for current CVCA or Historic Globe Main Street members.

Guests are "sentenced" to a night in the old county jail. After being booked, guests eoy an outdoor evening of DJ'd tunes from the era, dancing, live performances, special appearances, and jailhouse-inspired fun and nostalgia. The 1950's prom or sock-hop attire is encouraged, but the occasional beehive hairdo is welcomed too.

For more information, please call CVCA at 425-0884.
