WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2005--Akridge and The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers announce today that NPR leased a full floor of Class A office space at 900 Seventh Street in Washington's East End. The internationally acclaimed producer and distributor of non-commercial news will expand, taking 28,522 square feet just around the corner from their headquarters location at 635 Massachusetts Avenue. Ellen Herman and David Houck of The Staubach Company represented NPR in the transaction. 900 Seventh Street was represented by Wilbur Pace and P. Brian Connolly of Akridge. NPR is expected to begin their build-out immediately and plans to occupy this summer for an eight-year term.
